The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is planning to launch a $2-5 billion new private partnership fund, Reuters reports. The Climate Public Private Partnership Fund will be launched with the U.K. government’s Department for International Development.

The portfolio will be unveiled by the end of 2011 to channel pension fund investment into low-carbon infrastructure in Asia. The portfolio will mobilize the bank’s large-scale private capital into low-carbon investment opportunities in the continent.
