Harvard Names Equity Strategy Team Head

Harvard Management, which oversees Harvard University’s $27.4 billion in endowment funds, has appointed a managing director to focus on picking stocks in developed markets.

Harvard Management, which oversees Harvard University’s $27.4 billion in endowment funds, has appointed a managing director to focus on picking stocks in developed markets, Pensions & Investments reports. John Devir will be joining in July to lead a team focused on equity strategies in developed markets.

He will work under Stephen Blyth, managing director and head of internal management at the Boston-based firm. Previously, Devir was working as a managing director and head of equity strategies at Barclays Capital. He has also worked with Lehman Brothers and Credit Suisse, adds Reuters.
