Cornell Univ Endowment Manager Quits

Cornell University’s CIO, Michael Abbott, has stepped down from his role.

Cornell University’s CIO, Michael Abbott, has stepped down from his role, Pensions & Investments reports. Abbott was managing the school’s $5.2 billion endowment.

Senior investment officer, AJ Edwards, will serve as interim CIO until the university finds a suitable replacement. Before being appointed as CIO at Cornell, Abbott was CEO and head of the investment committee at hedge fund of funds, Robeco-Sage.
