Global financial regulations could delay recovery of the structured finance market until 2012, when implementation of new rules is expected to be completed, according to Fitch Ratings.

Global financial regulations could delay recovery of the structured finance market until 2012, when implementation of new rules is expected to be completed, according to Fitch Ratings. Ian Linnell, group managing director and head of global structured finance at Fitch, notes, however, that “Some transactions are selectively getting done, despite the fact that the market is still learning to navigate numerous new laws at varied stages of implementation around the world.”
