AllianceBernstein has appointed Robert Karofsky as global head of equity trading in New York, Traders Magazine reports. He is working under Patrick Whalen, who heads all trading at the buyside shop, including equities, fixed income and quantitative, as well as the portfolio management group. Most recently, Karofsky was working as global co-head of equities at Deutsche Bank. He has also worked with Morgan Stanley as U.S. head of cash equity trading.
