Sempra Energy has raised $800 million in a sale of senior unsecured notes in two parts.

Sempra Energy has raised $800 million in a sale of senior unsecured notes in two parts, Reuters reports. The energy holding company appointed Citigroup, JP Morgan and Wells Fargo Securities as the joint bookrunning managers for the deal.

The $500 million notes sold in the first tranche carry a coupon rate of 2.00%, and are due to mature on March 15, 2014. The $300 million notes sold in the second tranche are due to mature on March 15, 2014.
