Tomy will purchase Illinois-based toymaker, RC2, for $640 million in a tender offer, The Wall Street Journal reports. The tender offer for $27.9 per share is scheduled to begin within 10 business days and close 20 business days after the start.
The Tokyo-based toymaker is being advised by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, while Robert W Baird & Company is advising RC2, adds Bloomberg. RC2 makes products under the Thomas, Learning Curve, Johnny Lightning and Ertl brands.
