LCH.Clearnet will start clearing for the Cleartrade Exchange. Transactions will be inserted directly in LCH.Clearnet, reducing the clearing cycle from half an hour down to a fraction of a second.
Through the move, screen traded over-the-counter (OTC) freight and commodity derivatives will be processed real time into clearing for the first time. Cleartrade Exchange provides participants in freight and commodity markets with electronic order input, management and processing of OTC swaps into nominated clearing houses.
