TABB Group, the electronic trading and market structure consultancy, last week hired Andy Nybo, formerly head of marketing and communications for bond outfit MarketAxess, as a senior consultant. He will focus on a broad array of consulting projects, including derivatives and fixed income consulting projects. “We won’t be creating a fixed-income group, but we do have some fixed-income projects, and Andy will be instrumental there,” said Larry Tabb, founder. He also plans to hire six more consultants by the year-end, expanding to 20 staffers. TABB only hires consultants with extensive experience in the securities industry. Prior to MarketAxess, Nybo was a fixed income and equity analyst at TowerGroup for two years. Before that, he was the head of research for the Bond Market Association. Nybo was out of the office and could not be reached for comment.
