Federated Investors recently expanded its income-focused marketing initiative with new sales tools for advisors.

Federated Investors recently expanded its income-focused marketing initiative with new sales tools for advisors. The materials include a number of sales strategies for different Federated funds, including its $595 million Muni and Stock Advantage Fund and three of its funds that invest in dividend-paying stocks. There is also a case studies piece which shows three income-focused investing strategies, maximum, moderate and minimal.

Federated has named the initiative The Power of Income and last summer released a Web presentation, postcards and investor literature on the topic. The effort is aimed at aging baby boomers.

Linda Duessel, senior v.p. and equity market strategist, said key funds for the initiative include the $383 million Strategic Value Fund, which was launched last year, and the $1 billion Equity Income Fund.
