Weiser Capital Management has hired Kathy Nalywajko, a former investment trust consultant with City National Bank in Manhattan, as managing director of business development in its growing wealth management group. Nalywajko is the first of five the firm plans to add to Weiser by year-end, which was launched to leverage off of accounting firm and parent company Weiser LLP‘s client base (PAM, 2/13).

Nalywajko, who reports to ceo Jordan Berlin, and the team will offer trust and estate, tax expertise and succession planning under one umbrella using an open architecture platform. Nalywajko said she will also focus on structuring portfolios and bringing in new clients. The firm will target foundations and high-net-worth clients with a particular focus on real estate, auto dealers, medical professionals and manufacturing industry wealth. “The trend in the industry is to tap outside intermediaries, and we can embrace what we have right here at the firm to grow our business,” Berlin said.
