Thousands of investors descended upon Omaha this weekend for Berkshire Hathaway’s annual meeting. Let’s take a look at some of the corporation’s investments and constituent brands.

Berkshire Hathaway held its annual meeting for shareholders this weekend. The event, which has been nicknamed “Woodstock for Capitalists,” attracted throngs to hear the musings of headlining act Warren Buffett, the CEO of the $197 billion conglomerate. This year’s iteration, which marks Berkshire’s 50th anniversary, drew crowds in excess of 40,000 to hear the “Oracle of Omaha” wax poetic on the state of his company, the economy and his general riffing. Omaha’s CenturyLink Center, where the event is being held, hit full capacity soon after doors opened Saturday at 7 a.m. Central, sending Buffett fans into overflow seating; but ice cream and shopping kept the festivities on a high note. Although the shareholder meeting takes place just once a year, people constantly come across products of Berkshire Hathaway-owned companies in everyday life. Here are eight companies of which Berkshire Hathaway is at least a substantial shareholder, if not complete owner.
