Citi’s squad shepherded by London-based Thomas Chauvet holds on to second place. The three analysts continue to urge clients to buy shares of long-standing favorite Kering, a French luxury goods holding company whose long list of brands includes Gucci Group, Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, Puma and Saint Laurent Paris. Known as PPR until June 2013, Kering has been on the Citi team’s recommended list since April 2007. Chauvet, 37, and his colleagues foresee continued sales and earnings momentum at the company’s smaller luxury brands, as well as margin expansion and brand repositioning at Gucci. Kering’s stock has rewarded their confidence, jumping 26.8 percent, to €179.40, over the 12 months through January alone, and leading its regional peers by 21.3 percentage points.
