All-America Research Team Rising Stars

Overview

More than 100 equity analysts were identified as ones to watch in Institutional Investor’s 2018 ranking of the All-America Research Team: Rising Stars.

Citigroup led the roster for the second year in a row with 19 Rising Stars — the most of any firm. Tied for second were Bernstein and RBC, which boasted 12 Rising Stars each.

This year’s Rising Stars were chosen by nearly 1,000 investment professionals from 499 firms investing in U.S. equities. The list includes analysts who have been publishing research for less than three years in any region — and seem poised to earn a position on the All-America Research Team.

Unlike full-fledged members of the AART, Rising Stars aren’t ranked in numeric order but are listed alphabetically by sector. The sectors featuring the most up-and-coming talent this year included biotechnology, chemicals, master limited partnerships, and brokers, asset managers, and exchanges.
