Let's kick off with some SWF sporting news:

  • Professial cyclist Alberto Contador -- who rode for Samruk-Kazyna’s Astana when he won the Tour de France in 2010 -- has been stripped of his 2010 Title and banned from the professional peloton for two years for doping.

And in other news:

  • Past Wyoming Governor explains to West Virginia lawmakers the joys of having a SWF: "... we could not have balanced our budget without it."
  • The Emirates Investment Authority has had its operating budget approved for fiscal 2012, which means we may soon learn its strategy.
  • The Chinese are keen to invest in Djibouti; there were two Chinese delegations to the country in 48 hours.
  • Irony Alert: CalPERS has governance advice on Board nomination procedures for Apple.
