Attachmate is planning to secure $1.09 billion in credit to fund its acquisition of Novell, Bloomberg reports. The software company is seeking an $825 million first-lien term loan, a $40 million first-lien revolving line of credit and a $225 million second-lien facility, to buy Waltham, Massachusetts-based Novell.
Credit Suisse, Royal Bank of Canada, Goldman Sachs and the securities unit of Citadel will provide the financing. Attachmate will buy Novell for $2.2 billion, and will also use $425 million in equity financing to pay for the purchase.
