Over the course of 14 years at first Schroders and then Citi-group in London, Paolo Zani-boni climbed toward the top of the ladder as a securities analyst. The 38-year-old rose to become head of equity research for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and deputy head of overall European research at -Citi.
