Allison Adams Managing Director and Group Publisher is responsible for the Newsletter business as well as the Institutional Investor Journals (
www.iijournals.com) business including the prestigious, Journal of Portfolio Management.
Ms. Adams joined Institutional Investor in 1999 as the Advertising Director of the Institutional Investor Journals. Before joining Institutional Investor, Ms. Adams was a Vice President at Bear Stearns on the High Yield Trading Desk, where she sourced distressed debt from institutional credit officers worldwide. Ms. Adams started her career at Calyon (f/k/a Credit Lyonnais). Her industry experience includes loan operations, par loan sales, distressed debt sales. She studied Finance and French at The University of Rhode Island where she received a B.S. degree from the school of business and a B.A. degree in French. Ms. Adams serves on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee of the Nurses Educational Funds in New York City (
www.n-e-f.org).
Diane Alfano is a Member of the Board of Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC and serves as Managing Director of Institutional Investors Conference Division. She has been with Institutional Investor since 1984. She currently runs the divisions membership and sponsored conference business and since 1987 has supervised new product development for the division. In these capacities she oversees 80 employees in New York, London and Hong Kong in every aspect of the business, including sales, programming, and logistics. Prior to joining Institutional Investor, she was a Sales Account Executive with the Burroughs Corporation from 1979 to 1983. An alumna of the Loomis-Chaffee school, Ms. Alfano graduated in 1978 from Tufts University in Boston with a B.A. in French and Political Science. From 1976-77, Ms. Alfano studied at La Sorbonne and the Institut dEtudes des Sciences Politiques in Paris.
David Antin joined Institutional Investor in February of 2002. He is currently the Managing Director of Institutional Investors Research Group and the Head of Digital Development for Euromoney Institutional Investors U.S. based businesses. David is also responsible for the dayto-day operations of www.iimagazine.com, the digital presence of the groups flagship title
Institutional Investor.
Prior to joining Institutional Investor David worked in the Audit and Business Assurance division of Arthur Andersen in New York where he qualified as a Certified Public Accountant. He left Andersen in early 2000 to become the V.P. of Finance and Operations at Argent Trading, a private equity-backed international corporate trading firm with 22 offices in 18 different countries.
David received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, Magna Cum Laude from Long Island University, where he was a Merit Fellow and the recipient of a full academic scholarship.
Fred R. Bleakley , as Editorial Director - II Memberships, oversees programming for Institutional Investor Membership groups and is in charge of programming for the U.S. Institute and the European Institute. He is a former Managing Editor of
Institutional Investor magazine. Previously he was a Senior Special Writer and Finance Editor for the
Wall Street Journal and was Deputy Business Editor of the
New York Times.
Joe Casalino joined Institutional Investor as Human Resources Director in 1995. He remained on in that capacity after the companys acquisition by Euromoney PLC in 1998. In addition to providing HR support for all New York operations including Institutional Investor Inc., Metal Bulletin, ISI and IMN, he also provides HR consulting and advisory services to other Euromoney Institutional Investor companies such as MIS Training, Latin Finance, and Gulf Publishing.
Prior to joining II, he held various HR positions with financial services companies including 18 years in both domestic and international assignments with Chase Bank.
Christine Cavolina has been Publisher of
Institutional Investor magazine since 2003. Prior to joining
Institutional Investor as Publisher in New York, Ms. Cavolina was Deputy Publisher of
Euromoney magazine in London. Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC is one of Europes leading financial media companies.
Euromoney magazine is the flagship title of the Group.
Graham Chitty is publisher of the Institutional Investor News investment management titles, including Money Management Letter, Foundation and Endowment Money Management, and iisearches. He joined Euromoney in 2000 to develop web sites in the directories group and has run iisearches since 2005. He started as a journalist at Reed Business Information and has run small businesses.
Mr Chitty has an MBA from Cass Business School, London.
Ben Eva joined Euromoney institutional investor in December 2005 in their London head office. In July 2009 he transferred to New York to set up and manage the central marketing department. Central marketing provides the marketing, telesales, fulfillment and database services and facilities to grow all delegate and subscription revenues for Euromoney Institutional Investors North American based products.
Prior to joining Euromoney Ben spent 10 years working in several global media organizations helping them to develop their brands and products, and transition them online. Outside of the office he is an avid skier and investor and loves to spend time with his wife and children.
Nick Ferris joined Euromoney Institutional Investor in 1996. He has worked as Group Marketing Director and Publisher for Specialist Finance titles within Euromoney, Managing Director of ii-q.com, and Group Marketing Director and Publisher for Institutional Investor. Recently Mr. Ferris moved from Group Publisher for emii.com and II Newsletters to a new role focusing on community and social networking opportunities across Euromoney Institutional Investor. Prior to Euromoney Institutional Investor he was Marketing Director and Head of Venture Capital for Hayklan Industries where he launched an Irish business newspaper, Ukraine Railway magazine and many other diverse business interests from property investments to running a gym in Southampton. Nick graduated from Nottingham University with a law degree.
Wendy Gallagher joined
Institutional Investor in 2002 and is the Asian Publisher for
II magazines. Prior to joining
Institutional Investor Wendy worked for two years at Eurofinance Conferences as head of global sales, where she joined from Euromoney magazine. She joined the Euromoney Group in 1988 in Australia and has worked for
Euromoney magazine in Asia and in London.
William H. Inman is editor of Institutional Investor magazine. Previously he was corporate editor of the Bloomberg.com website, editor in chief of Bloombergs award-winning business magazine and founder of its publishing division. Previous to Bloomberg, Inman worked as North American editor for the FTs BUSINESS magazine and authored Inmans America. Earlier, Inman was a national reporter for United Press International, where was nominated for Pulitzer prizes for stories on organized crime, Russian import/export corruption and Pentagon contract abuses. He lives in New York.
Lewis Knox is Executive Director of TraderForum and Financial Technology Forum, Institutional Investor's membership groups for buyside equity traders and investment management chief information officers, respectively. Lew is responsible for product content and event programming. Before joining II Memberships, he was assistant managing editor, technology and development at Institutional Investor magazine, where he was responsible for technology coverage and for developing new research features. Before taking over the technology beat, Lew was the research editor at the magazine, where he was responsible for the editorial components of IIs signature research rankings, including the All-America Research Team. He is on his second tour at II: from 1984 until 1997, he worked in various divisions of the company, including a 10-year stint in Newsletters, where he was part of the team that launched Global Money Management and Derivatives Week. Lew has an A.B. in romance languages and literatures from Princeton University.
Tom Lamont has been with Institutional Investor since 1976 and has been Editor, II News (formerly Newsletter Division) since 1981. He was a newsletter reporter and editor the prior five years. Mr. Lamont is a member of Euromoney Institutional Investors Board of Directors since 1998. From 1970-1976 he was with
Investment Dealers' Digest in a variety of positions. He has a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, 1968 and an M.S. in Public Relations from Boston University, 1970. Mr. Lamont is married, lives in Ridgewood, N. J., owns thoroughbred races horses as an outside avocation.
Adele Langie joined Institutional Investor in 2004. She currently serves as Executive Director of Sales for Institutional Investors prestigious senior executive membership, the U.S. Institute, which serves as a think-tank for the Chairman and CEOs of asset management firms. She also develops and oversees Institutional Investors private conferences in the defined contribution arena (both in the US and in Europe). Before joining Institutional Investor, Adele was a Managing Director at RogersCasey, a global investment consulting firm. Prior to this, Adele was a Vice President at Greenwich Associates, a global market research and consulting firm. Adele has also has experience working for Merrill Lynch Capital Markets, IBM Credit Corporation and Xerox Corporation.
Adele graduated with an M.B.A., with Honors, from the Harvard Business School, and a B.A. in Economics, cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Smith College.
Simon McLoughlin is Executive Director of II's Membership and Conference business in Europe. Based in London, he looks after a team of 25 and is responsible for business development. Prior to joining Euromoney Institutional Investor plc in 2006, he was Head of Corporate Development at LexisNexis Europe. Mr McLoughlin started his career as a journalist on The Sun in London. He attended Cambridge University and gained an MA (Hons) in Law and English Literature.
Gary G. Mueller is Chairman and CEO of Institutional Investor. Mr. Mueller is also founder and Chairman of ISI Emerging Markets (
www.securities.com ), one of the most comprehensive and widely-used online financial and business information services for the emerging markets. Mr. Mueller founded ISI in 1994 and served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer until 2002, and as Chairman thereafter. In 1999, Euromoney Institutional Investor purchased ISI and the company operates as an independent subsidiary. ISI employs 450 people, has offices in twenty-five countries and its subscription-based service covers eighty emerging markets, including Brazil, Mexico, Russia, China, and India. In 2004, Mr. Mueller was also made Chairman of another Euromoney Institutional Investor subsidiary, Information Management Network (
www.imn.org ), a premier conference company serving the securitization, real estate and investment management markets. In June 2000, Mr. Mueller was appointed to Euromoney Institutional Investors Board of Directors. Mr. Mueller is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School. He was a Fulbright Scholar in Frankfurt, Germany.
Barbara Munder is Executive Director, Institutional Investor Memberships with operational responsibility for two of the units membership groups. Previously Barbara was COO of wf360, a distance learning company. Prior to that she was a twenty-year veteran of The McGraw-Hill Companies where she was ultimately SVP for corporate-wide marketing and e-business initiatives. She served on the companys investment committee, which oversees the companys defined benefit ($900m) and defined contributions ($900m) plans and was Secretary for The McGraw-Hill Companies Board of Directors Corporate Governance Committee. Previously, she was Vice President and General Manager, Business Week Services with oversight for the media units newsletter, conference and electronic products group. Barbara serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Petsmart, Inc. and Lighthouse International and is on the Advisory Board of DOAR Communications Inc.
Melissa Murray has been with the Conference Division at Institutional Investor since 1996. Currently she is an Executive Director, responsible for sales and client service for various memberships and conferences involving senior executives at asset management organizations. Prior to joining Institutional Investor, Melissa was a Director at Christies in the Special Events department. Melissa graduated magna cum laude from Mount Holyoke College with a BA in art history. Her interests include squash, tennis, theater, cooking and travel.
Steve Murray is the deputy editor of IINews 12 news and database titles. He joined the news division in 1993 as a reporter and was a managing editor and executive editor before being named deputy editor in 1999. Prior to joining II he was a daily newspaper reporter at The Bristol Press in Bristol, Conn., and The Brockton Enterprise in Brockton, Mass. He has a B.A. in journalism from Marist College.
Michael Peltz is Executive Editor of Institutional Investor magazine and responsible for overseeing the editorial content of its Americas edition. Prior to taking on his current role in July 2009, he was Editor of Institutional Investors Alpha, a leading magazine dedicated to covering the hedge fund industry. Michael began his journalism career in 1987 as a Copy Editor for Institutional Investor. In 1996, he left Institutional Investor to go to Worth magazine to be a Senior Writer and later Financial Editor. From 2003 to 2005 he worked as a Senior Writer for Bloomberg Markets magazine, before returning to Institutional Investor as Editor of Alpha. Michael has a bachelors degree in English and Comparative Literature from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire.
Lyn Perlmuth is director of the Fixed Income Forum and Institutional Investor Legal Forum, private membership groups. She previously ran a publications and conferences business at Dow Jones after more than 16 years in Institutional Investors Newsletters division, beginning as a reporter, editor, head of new product development and then group publisher. She was for several years a corporate finance columnist for Institutional Investor magazine.
Tracey Redmond oversees the awards programs and web events for many of EMIIs publishing and conference businesses. Tracey joined EMII in September of 2005 from the International Trademark Association, where she was the head of Business Development and responsible for the membership, sponsorship and non-dues revenue programs for the oldest and largest association of trademark professionals in the world. Tracey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Salem State College and resides in New York City.
Steven Weiss joined Institutional Investor in 1999 as VP of Finance and as such is responsible for financial reporting, facilities and the NY office IT dept. Steven also serves as head of real estate and contracts for the Euromoney US Group. Prior to joining II he served as Finance Director for Fremantle International, a producer and syndicator of TV programming throughout the world, and as Controller for Mark Goodson Productions, the famed game show creator.
Steven is a CPA and has a BS in Economics and an MBA in Public Accounting.
Spencer Wicks is the International Publisher of
Institutional Investor magazine . Mr. Wicks is based in London and manages the team responsible for the advertising and sponsorship revenues from clients in Europe, the Middle East and India. Prior to joining Institutional Investor, Mr. Wicks was a Managing Director at Datamonitor Plc, where he ran the company's Professional Services division. Before joining Datamonitor, Mr. Wicks was a Principal at the Viant Group, a U.S. merchant bank headquartered in San Francisco. Mr. Wicks lives in London and holds an MA and BA in Philosophy, and a Series 7 securities licence.
Jonathan Wright joined Euromoney Institutional Investor from Thomson Financial in 2003 . His EII career began in the London office with the Business Meetings division before moving on to work on Corporate Finance Magazine. Jonathan moved to the New York office in 2005 and joined the Institutional Investor News division where he ran the advertising team for emii.com, the Newsletters and the IINews Business Publishing division encompassing the Rising Stars series and Buyers Guides.
After 5 years in New York Jonathan is now based in London and is the Group Sales Director for the central online advertising team working across the EII group on online initiatives, sponsorships and webcasts. As an outside interest Jonathan runs a TV and theater production company and to date has produced three off-Broadway plays.
Kristin Zammit has been with Institutional Investor since 1997. Ms. Zammit is responsible for sales and client service for the Institutional Investor Institute, Hedge Fund Institutional Forum, and for selling almost all of Institutional Investors conferences around the globe. Kristin has spent her entire 25 year career in sales, helping a variety of companies in and outside the financial industry with a broad range of sales and marketing initiatives including advertising, trade show sales, sales planning, sales training, product launches, trade shows, and conferences. An alumna of the Loomis-Chaffee school, Ms. Zammit graduated in 1985 from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA with a B.A. in Theatre and Psychology.
