Morgan Stanley No. 1 in U.S. Equity Trading Services
Morgan Stanley debuts atop the roster in Institutional Investor’s inaugural All-America Trading Team. J.P. Morgan — which leads the All-America Research Team for a third consecutive year — captures second place in trading services, followed by Goldman, Sachs & Co. in third. Rounding out the top five are Barclays and Credit Suisse in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
This year, for the first time, we asked participants in the research survey to name the firms that they feel provide the best trading services to U.S. equity investors. (We also asked them to name the firms that have the best sales teams serving clients that invest in U.S. equities; those responses were tabulated to produce our second annual All-America Sales Team.) Our question about trading services generated responses from more than 860 buy-side analysts and money managers at some 590 firms that collectively manage an estimated $6.71 trillion in U.S. equity assets.
