Deutsche Bank captures a total of 50 positions across the All-Europe and All-Europe Fixed-Income research teams to take the lead on Institutional Investors 2013 Top Global Research Firms: Year-to-Date roster well ahead of second-place J.P. Morgan, which claims an aggregated total of 42 positions. Bank of America Merrill Lynch, the overall winner in 2011 and 2012, lands at No. 3, with 40 spots. Morgan Stanley and UBS, with 33 positions each, share fourth place.
These five firms held the same ranks at this time last year, with the exception of Morgan Stanley, which stood at No. 5, just behind UBS. (Those two firms had 30 and 32 total positions, respectively.)
With regard to analysts and teams at No. 1 in their respective sectors, Deutsche is the undisputed leader, with 16. Barclays, currently No. 6 overall, comes in second when measured by this metric; it has secured nine first-place finishes thus far this year. ....
